Darla is responsible for managing and ensuring that all resident records are complete and accurate, communicating with parents, greeting visitors and provides clerical support to the Program/Clinical Director and the Administrator.
Prior to working at the Ranch, Darla worked at Scott & White coordinating care for Pain Management patients. She was in charge of obtaining insurance authorizations for procedures and imaging, referrals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical records, and maintaining physician schedules.
In her free time, she enjoys watching her son play baseball, working outside, shopping, cooking, going to the beach, reading and hanging out with her family and friends. Just having the opportunity to encourage and facilitate positive growth in a young person’s life is extremely rewarding.
Kelly has been a volunteer tour guide for the Bell County Museum, a math tutor for The Princeton Review, and an assistant to professors of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor English department. She is also experienced in mentoring at-risk youth and assisting struggling families. Most recently, Kelly worked as a family coach for Aware Central Texas, an organization aimed at preventing child abuse and mending broken homes.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys adventures with her husband Colton, her cat Arwen, and her dog Kachina. She also enjoys songwriting and performing with her folk-rock band. Kelly exercises her passion for the arts at the Ranch by coordinating art activities that take place every Wednesday.
