The equine program isn’t about making them horsemen, it’s about learning how to accept the unknown and deal with it in a positive way. Taking control of a 1,000 pound animal and having it respond to what you are asking can be one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment. This part of the program is completely experiential, focusing on the residents and the horse and allowing the residents to be themselves while learning how their actions affect others around them
